virtualbox guest (ubuntu) not able to ping vmware guest (ubuntu)

virtualbox guest (ubuntu) not able to ping vmware guest (ubuntu)

I have a windows 7 host, with both vmware and virtualbox running. The vms
are in bridged mode.
One guest cannot ping the other guest.
